Stories that move people to care.

I’m Tyler Rickenbach, a photographer, filmmaker and writer based in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

I make stories about people, their work and the places that shape them. Sometimes that means following a crew on a construction site. Sometimes it means sitting down for a conversation or spending a morning in the mountains. What interests me is what people care enough to build, pursue and protect.

My background is in photojournalism, including work for the USA TODAY Network in Wisconsin. That experience taught me to pay attention, ask better questions and recognize the moments that tell a larger story.

Since then, my work has grown to include commercial photography, films and editorial writing. I photographed for Oshkosh Corporation’s 100th-anniversary rebrand and have worked with Sigma and Professional Photographers of America.

I bring that same curiosity to every assignment. Before deciding what to photograph, film or write, I want to understand the people involved, what matters to them and who the story needs to reach.

Based in Idaho Falls, I’m available for commercial and editorial assignments across Eastern Idaho, Jackson Hole and beyond.
