LOVE, EMMA — AN INDEPENDENT DOCUMENTARY PROJECT
Last updated: November 3, 2026
Thank you for considering a partnership with Love, Emma.
This independent documentary project was created to celebrate Emma's life, share her story, and help her experience the things she's always dreamed of doing.
Through the generosity of businesses and organizations, we're working to create meaningful experiences for Emma and preserve those memories through documentary filmmaking.
We believe meaningful partnerships should be built on transparency, mutual understanding, and a shared commitment to making something good happen.
The following information outlines how our partnerships work, what sponsors receive, and the terms associated with participating.
01 / How Sponsorships Support the Project
All sponsorships support the Love, Emma project and its mission to create meaningful experiences for Emma.
Sponsorship funds may be used to help cover:
Bucket-list experiences and activities chosen by Emma
Travel, accommodations, and transportation associated with those experiences
Documentary filming, photography, editing, and production expenses
Other necessary expenses directly related to coordinating, producing, and sharing the project
Sponsorship payments support the overall project and are not necessarily transferred directly to Emma or her family.
Our goal is to use these resources responsibly while creating lasting memories and sharing a story that can inspire others.

We offer three established sponsorship levels.

Custom partnerships, donated experiences, and in-kind contributions are also welcome. These arrangements are discussed and documented separately.
03 / Creative Deliverables & Licensing
Our team retains creative control and copyright ownership of the photographs, videos, and documentary materials we produce unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Sponsors receive usage rights only for their approved deliverables, as outlined in their selected package or an individual written agreement.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, usage rights do not include paid advertising, resale, sublicensing, or distribution to third parties.
All content featuring Emma is subject to her permission and applicable consent requirements.
04 / Documentary Independence
Love, Emma is an independent documentary.
Sponsorship provides the recognition and creative deliverables associated with the selected package. It does not grant editorial control over the documentary, interviews, storyline, or final edit.
We reserve editorial discretion to tell Emma's story authentically and respectfully.
Participation does not guarantee specific documentary scenes, audience reach, engagement metrics, or distribution outcomes.
05 / Production & Scheduling
Documentary filmmaking involves real people, changing circumstances, and experiences that cannot always be predicted or scheduled.
Production schedules and delivery dates may change based on Emma's availability, health, personal preferences, travel arrangements, and other circumstances outside the project's control.
Emma's comfort, privacy, and well-being will always take priority over production or sponsorship commitments.
If circumstances prevent a material sponsorship deliverable from being completed as planned, we will communicate with the sponsor and work toward a mutually acceptable alternative or appropriate refund for undelivered benefits.
06 / Payments, Changes & Refunds
Sponsorship payments are collected securely through the payment provider connected to our Squarespace website.
Sponsors purchasing a standard package receive the benefits associated with that sponsorship level, subject to these terms and any additional written agreement.
If a sponsor requests changes to the scope of creative deliverables, additional production or licensing fees may apply.
Refund requests will be reviewed based on the agreed deliverables, work already completed, and project expenses already incurred. Where we cannot provide material agreed benefits, we will work with the sponsor toward a reasonable resolution, including a suitable alternative or proportionate refund.
Any material changes to a sponsorship arrangement will be communicated and agreed upon with the sponsor.
07 / Tax Information
Love, Emma is an independent documentary initiative, not a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
Sponsorship payments are not tax-deductible charitable donations.
Businesses should consult their own tax professionals regarding whether sponsorship payments qualify as advertising, marketing, or other business expenses.
08 / Privacy & Respect
Emma's story is deeply personal.
We are committed to treating her experiences, family, health information, and personal circumstances with dignity and respect.
Sponsors do not receive unrestricted rights to Emma's name, image, personal story, or medical information.
Any promotional use involving Emma beyond the specifically approved project deliverables requires appropriate permission.
09 / Contact & Partnership Questions
We welcome questions about sponsorship opportunities, creative deliverables, licensing, or custom partnerships.
For questions about an existing sponsorship or to explore another way to support the project, please contact our team.
